  15. I just got a `complete' Tex tar files including (web.tar.gz, web2c.tar.gz
  16. xdvik.tar.gz and dvipsk.tar.gz) and want to install it in a TaTung micro
  17. COMPstation LX(SUNOS4.1.3 + X11R5). Unfortunately, it could not be installed
  18. successfully, though I followed the instructions of REAEME and INSTALL.
  19. The problem appeared in executing 'install formats' with the following 
  20. error information:

  22. MFPOOL=. ./inimf 'plain; input modes; dump'
  23. This is METAFONT, Version 2.71 (C version 6.1) (INIMF)
  24. ! I can't find file `plain.mf'.

  30. Really I used 'find' command to tryto find the file 'plain.mf', but
  31. I could find it. As a result, I would appreciate it if you could answer
  32. the following questions:

  34. Q1. For LaTeX, are the aforementioned 4 files enough to establish it?
  35.  
  36. Q2. For web2c and vpathsea, is there a priority when installing them?
  37.  
  38. Q3. Could you please give me any tip for dealing with the problem and
  39.     installing a stardard LaTeX(An algorithm-like installing help is
  40.     prefer)?
